1. slogan  /sl'ogən/
Definition: A distinctive motto, phrase, or cry used by any person or party to express a purpose or ideal.
For example: The slogan on the wall means something important.
2. sting  /st'ɪŋ/
Definition: Any sharp organ of offense and defense, especially when connected with a poison gland, and adapted to inflict a wound by piercing.
For example: Although it isn’t meant to, her comment stings.
3. widow  /w'ɪdo/
Definition: A woman who has lost her husband by death, and has not married again.
For example: A widow in The Villages will forget the identity because it is so busy there.
4. activate  /'æktəv,et/
Definition: put in motion or move to act
For example: The sense of hearing is activated when hearing something.
5. default  /dɪf'ɔlt/
Definition: A failing or failure; omission of that which ought to be done
For example: Orange is his default color for pain.
6. defective  /dɪf'ɛktɪv/
Definition: Anything that is defective or lacking in some respect.
For example: The brain of a synesthete is not defective in any way.
7. endeavor  /ɪnd'ɛvɚ/
Definition: a purposeful or industrious undertaking
For example: Her current endeavor is sculpture.

Definition: To stop or pause respecting decision or action.
For example: After coming into a difficult choose, he hesitated.
9. hook  /h'ʊk/
Definition: A piece of metal, or other hard material.
For example: He got hooked on the computer games for days.
10. incorporate  /ɪnk'ɔrpɚ,et/
Definition: Not consisting of matter.
For example: Carol has incorporated elements of what she sees.
11. perceive  /pɚs'iv/
Definition: To obtain knowledge of through the senses.
For example: Mary can perceive colors in numbers and letters when hearing certain sounds.

Definition: A purely spiritual or psychical affection.
For example: The sensation in human is obviously in contrast to other animals.

Definition: at the same instant
For example: Two or more senses are activated simultaneously in some situations.

Definition: A striking or dashing together.
For example: The maximum of a conflict is called climax.

Definition: One who, or that which, preserves from ruin.
For example: The people living in here are conservative.

Definition: The ground or path traversed; track; way.
For example: The courses today are informative.

Definition: The art or act of recognizing the presence of disease from its signs or symptoms
For example: The diagnosis will soon revealed by the doctor.

Definition: To move with a continual change of place among the particles or parts, as a fluid.
For example: The flow of the water is slowly.

Definition: A gripe or seizure of the hand.
For example: He grasps on the rope and tries to climb on the wall.

Definition: To show the teeth, as a dog; to snarl.
For example: The grin from John shows that he is happy.

Definition: To become the same; to coalesce in interest, purpose, use, effect, etc.
For example: The UFO means a flying object that can’t be identified.
22. illusion  /ɪl'uʒən/
Definition: Anything agreeably fascinating and charming; enchantment; witchery; glamour.
For example: The illusion makes him not able to focus on his work.
23. sweep  /sw'ip/
Definition: To pass a broom across (a surface) so as to remove loose dirt, dust, etc.
For example: He is sweeping the room, which makes the room more comfortable.

Definition: expressing or feeling or resulting from sympathy or compassion or friendly fellow feelings.

Definition: the essential quality of something.

For example: The texture of the cloth is smooth.
